These tournaments will be held in May-June, followed by an online playoffs AND an amazing offline final – open to all participants to witness the ultimate clash between student and non-student teams!
The Connecting Gauntlet was created to connect the Dutch/Benelux Esports scene like never before, have loads of fun and make new friends (or rivalries) along the way!
We will have separate playoffs for both student teams and all professional and other teams, before the best 4 teams from each playoff per game will be invited to the finals, which concludes in an OFFLINE CONNECTING GAUNTLET FINALS EVENT in June!
Here, the best student teams will then battle it out against the best professional teams for pride, honor and, just as importantly, juicy prize money. (and more? – stay tuned!)

Valorant Tournament-Specific Questions?
Schedule
The main stage of the tournament will be played between May 8th and May 14th, so make sure to keep that week open! Matches will take place throughout the whole week, but don’t worry, match rescheduling is possible. Finals will take place after the 14th of May on a date that is suitable for the finalists.
Group A & B
To keep the tournament competitive while also being fun for everyone, we have decided to split it into two separate groups.
Group A will be a tournament for teams that wish to qualify to the Offline Finals Playoffs in June. The TOP 4 teams will have an opportunity to face-off against 4 other teams that qualified from open/pro qualifiers. Enter Group A if you are looking to compete for honour and a large prize pool.
Group B will be a tournament for teams that wish to simply have a fun and relaxed time in a bit of a lower stake environment. The prize pool will consist of 100% of the signup fees from Group B participants.
Tournament Format & Prizes
The tournament will be hosted by Esportal who will be organising all the matches in cooperation with the other organisers of the CSGO part of the Connecting Gauntlet. The tournament structure will be decided upon once the sign ups close.
The prize pool for Group A will be a combination of sponsored money from Esportal and 100% of the sign up fees from the student tournament and the open/pro tournament for CSGO. It will be divided amongst the Top 8 participants of the Offline Finals Playoffs in June, (so if you end in the Top 4 of Group A you are guaranteed prize money 😀).
The prize pool for Group B will be solely consisting of 100% of the signup fees from Group B participants. Group B will not have any finals, so the prize pool will be divided fairly depending on the final place of the teams from Group B.
Rescheduling
Rescheduling will be possible for all matches, as long as it is between May 8th and May 14th. The responsibility of finding a suitable time to reschedule a match lies with the teams involved. Once a new time has been picked, both team captains need to send a request for the reschedule in the rescheduling-times channel on the Tournament Discord Server 24 HOURS before the match and wait for confirmation from one of the admins.
Additional Information
More specific tournament details will be provided in the rulebook which will be added to the Tournament Discord Server shortly.
