Zephyr Smash Final Rankings 2025/2026

With the exam weeks upon us, the academic year 2025/2026 is drawing to it’s close. It has been a hectic year for many, including for us at the Smash committee, especially during Q4 when 3 members of the committee had to do their BEP. This lead to a little bit of chaos, such as the 4th IR not taking place and not reporting on IR3 or Dynamash. However, the year is still over, so we have our final results for this year’s internal ranking!

Coming in first place, we have Weird Person with 34 points. This Game&Watch main joined Zephyr this year, and still managed to beat us all! Hailing from Cyprus, George absolutely decimated the old guard, playing not just G&W but also Luigi and Little Mac. In second, we have Mattie with 31 points who has been with us for a bit longer. They’re a Rosalina main, but will not hesitate to pick another *girlie* if the matchup asks for it. And finally we have the chair of the committee himself at 15 points, Tanglad. Although he’s been moving towards playing more Rivals 2 instead of Smash, he held on to 3rd place with a different character every IR, ending with DK.

2025/2026 was a bit of a quieter year for Smash at Zephyr. Of course the game itself isn’t getting any newer, and the (as of writing) recent Direct unfortunately did not bring any new news. That all being said, we still had a lot of fun, and hope to see you joining us on Mondays or Wednesdays to play some good old Smash!

7. Irregular (Yoshi, Daisy, Bowser) – 2 points
8. Mr_Wheat (Terry) – 1 point
